A GUESTHOUSE STEEPED IN HISTORY

La Maison du Passage is a window on the past, a gateway to History, with a personal story that stretches back through the centuries.

As time went by, the building became part of Martignargues’ town defences, incorporating the gate that had been fortified ever since its 13th century origins. Then it became a watchtower from which the battle of Martignargues could have been witnessed in 1704; it’s also been a silk farm, and... the village grocer’s.

Our contribution has been to restore the lustre and dignity that had got a bit lost.

You can take advantage of the cosy living-room, the dining room with a view of the church, the little fitness suite with an infra-red sauna and the roof garden with a solarium and jacuzzi (Sundance), not forgetting the heated pool that looks down upon the olive grove...

An exhibition of canvasses by the Nîmes artist Philippe Roussel adds the finishing touch to our home...
